NLCS: Rockies vs. Diamondbacks
I will start this off by saying that both the Rockies and Diamondbacks have really impressed me with their NLDS sweeps. The Rockies destroyed the Phillies, and the Diamondbacks just out-played the Cubs. The series will start on Thursday, and it should be a very exciting match up. Game 1 will be Jeff Francis squaring up against Brandon Webb in Arizona. This is a very important game for the Rockies to win because Francis is their best starter, and after him, the Rockies have a lot of question marks in their rotation, even though Jimenez and Morales pitched well against the Phillies. On the other hand, the Rockies offense is better than the Diamondbacks. The Rockies offense is really hot right now, and on paper they have a clear offensive advantage over the Diamondback at every position, with the Diamondbacks only having a better center fielder. Both teams have very good relief pitching, and both closers pitched very well in their respective playoff games. I'm expecting a this series to be one better playoff series, and both teams will show you the way baseball is supposed to be played. In the end the Rockies, lead by the trio of Holliday, Helton, and Atkins, will shock the world and advance to the World Series. Rockies in 6
