Blogspot Exclusive: Sunday Baseball Rumors

From now until the trading deadline, I'll try to have rumors up here on blogspot ever single day. And without further adue, the rumorama keeps on spinning.

Rumors
- One AL executive claims that he has no doubt that A-Rod will be able to get 30 million a year next season. (NY Post)
- Jose Contreras could get traded to either the Mets, Braves, or Dodgers. (Daily Southtown)
- The Mets could soon strike a deal with the White Sox for Jermaine Dye, with recently promoted Lastings Milledge as the centerpiece. Boston wants to deal Coco Crisp for bullpen help, and Boston scouts have been seen looking at Houston relievers Brad Lidge, Chad Qualls, and Dan Wheeler. Kerry Wood could return to the Cubs bullpen in 3 weeks. (Chicago Tribune)
- The Mets would prefer trading for Javier Vazquez then dealing for Contreras. The Braves and Nats have talked about Dmitri Young, but Atlanta is more likely to play Jarrod Saltalamacchia at first. (Newark Star-Ledger)
- The Angels are unlikely to make a deal. (LA Daily News)
- One GM has said that the Marlins don't want to trade Dontrelle Willis. (Miami Herald)
- Cleveland and Milwaukee have shown interest in Kenny Lofton, and the Twins and Yankees have shown interest in Sammy Sosa. (Dallas Morning News)
- The Indians have had discussions with Texas about Akinori Otsuka. (Detroit Free Press)
- Eric Gagne would probably not approve a trade to Cleveland. (Cleveland Plain Dealer)
- Salomon Torres and Shawn Chacon will be the most likely Pirates to get traded, and Pittsburgh has talked with Atlanta about Saltalamacchia, but the Braves will need to be blown away to deal him. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)
- The Braves are interested in Julio Franco. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- Arizona may seek a starting pitcher. (Arizona Republic)
- Elijah Dukes will not return to Tampa Bay anytime soon. (Tampa Tribune)
- The talk around the league is that the Reds will likely trade Bronson Arroyo. (Boston Globe)
